crux |krəks; kroŏks|noun ( pl. cruxes or cruces |ˈkroōˌsēz|) ( the crux)

• the decisive or most important point at issue : the crux of the matter is that attitudes have changed.
• a particular point of difficulty : both cruces can be resolved by a consideration of the manuscripts.

Synonyms (but you can’t use these to refer to me..)

heart, essence,central point, main point, core, center, nucleus, kernel; informal bottom line.

Crux.. Cruxine.. and Voila! Here I am.
